Website Maintenance
Websites designed and produced by OGB’s web design services can continue to be maintained by OGB, under a “Maintenance Agreement” between the customer and OGB.

Such agreements are of two types depending upon the extent of OGB’s services provided.

For example, should the customer choose to host with someone other than OGB web hosting services, then the agreement can embody maintaining just the website’s content, format and functionality, in keeping with the wishes and desired modifications of the customer but be specific to the site only and subject to certain issue limitations arising from aspects beyond the design services control, such as may occur as a result of the web host’s server and its interaction with the site.

Alternatively, the agreement can embody both maintaining the website’s content, format and functionality, in keeping with the wishes and desired modifications of the customer and issues that might arise resulting from the hosting, should the site be hosted by OGB’s web hosting services.

Should the customer choose to host with OGB but maintain their own website, then issues arising as a result of the hosting server would be addressed through a web hosting agreement with OGB.

The choice of web host can affect the application of OGB’s service guarantees, too, as the following “guarantee” summaries indicate and, as OGB Basket Bucks apply, on most all services OGB extends to its customers, accordingly.

Website Guarantee
Changes to websites, in one manner or another, are likely to become necessary over time either because you wish to introduce changes or because of technological advances. Often too, servers can cause change in your website and repair or modification becomes necessary.

With each completed website, there are bugs, or malfunctions, that appear once the site has been initially uploaded to the server of your web host. Naturally, we guarantee the site’s proper function when completed so we take the responsibility to make certain it is, when first uploaded. Thereafter, it should continue to function properly unless server issues cause it to malfunction.

Websites that we produce become the property of the customer and many customers prefer to maintain there own website after it has been completed and uploaded to the server of their web host. On the other hand, many feel they lack the expertise, time or both, to maintain their website and we are pleased to provide maintenance assistance, accordingly, for our customers.

Limited Guarantee

OGB’s guarantee of your website’s functionality is limited to its first upload to a web server and extends only until we make any modifications necessary to assure its content, format and collective functionality are as intended in its design. Thereafter, responsibility for your website rests with your web host and whoever maintains the website’s content, format and functionality, from that point on.

Continuous Conditional “Rest Easy” Guarantee
OGB is pleased to offer to its website design customers a “Continuous Conditional Guarantee” providing, first, that the customer’s website is hosted, by “Hosting Agreement”, through OGB’s Web Hosting Services. Secondly, that the customer engages in a “Maintenance Agreement” with OGB’s website design services, for future and ongoing maintenance of their website. And, lastly, that the customer is not in any breach of either agreement, or in payment arrears of any amount due OGB through either agreement.

Simply put, the customer continues to have full ownership of their website, however, they contractually extend, to OGB, the complete control over the website’s hosting and maintenance, for the term of each agreement, such that the customer can “Rest Easy” knowing that any issues arising from the website’s hosting and the maintenance of its existing content, format and functionality are assured, without incurring any additional cost other than that for the ongoing web hosting or for changes to the website, as may be requested, then approved and authorized prior, by the customer!

All services, agreements and guarantees above are subject to the addition of any applicable taxes.
